While your Lips are Still Red

It’s still sunny outside… what am I saying it for? It’s summer, it HAS to be sunny.
My heart isn’t sunny at all: it’s a storm.
You might say that I’m heartless only because I’m a bag of bones; but I have feelings, I fear, I laugh, I enjoy…
I love.
I still can’t understand why she left me like that… it makes me feel… weird.
Just because I’m the Grim Reaper.
But we  were so happy before she knew the truth.
“Tell her tonight”, Mandy said. And I did it, even though I was afraid.
I tried to push myself, to give myself some courage… and in the end I showed her my true nature.
And she ran away in fear.
Why?
That’s just unfair.
And now I’m writing these words on a piece of paper that nobody will ever read: nobody will ever know that, even if I’m different, I can be a person.
I AM a person.
A dead one…
But why?
Can’t I be a normal person, even without skin and organs?
Because I DO have feelings, even if I don’t have a true heart…
I can love, and I loved her.
And now I cry tears that shouldn’t actually exist because I’m dead, I couldn’t cry. But I cry, and cry rivers. Waterfalls fall from my empty eye sockets. I don’t have eyes, but I can actually see.
I don’t have skin, but I can sense…
I don’t have a heart, but I can feel.
And I can love.
Trust me, Malaria… I know we’ll meet again one day. It’s Fate.
Even though I love you, I’ll have to come for you, like I’ll have for everyone.
So we’ll meet again… while your lips are still red.
